Wednesday 24 June 2026 Shading, Sketching and Collaboration🗻 This half term, Year 1 have been busy exploring drawing and developing their artistic skills. We have been practising different shading techniques and learning how the pressure we apply to our pencils can change the appearance of our drawings. The children discovered that pressing their pencils harder creates darker lines, while using a lighter touch produces much softer, lighter shades. They enjoyed experimenting with these techniques and seeing the different effects they could create.
